We are Aberystwyth University Cricket Club. We are proud to announce ourselves as one of Aberystwyth’s mixed sports, with all genders training together. Our club is welcome to those of all abilities

Aberystwyth University Cricket Club is a proud and lively part of the university, accepting of all members, be that complete newcomers to cricket or those whose life revolves around the sport.

Competing in both the Aberystwyth and District Midweek League (Twenty Twenty) and in the BUCS Western Division Three (Fifty Overs) league, there are plenty of opportunities for competitive cricket across the season. All members will have the opportunity to play cricket for the club, and the Midweek League is the perfect opportunity to develop the newer players and gain experience out in the middle. We have strong links to local teams such as AUCC Commoners and Aberystwyth Town Cricket Club, with the chance for friendlies against these teams, and for those looking to play local weekend cricket too.

Over the off season we train in the university sports cage, and compete in indoor cricket competitions in winter. Alongside this, we have a lively social scene, with sober socials such as watch parties for international cricket, and our weekly Wednesday night socials, each with a different theme.

Looking forward to the 2024/25 season, the future is bright for AUCC. We are rebuilding our women’s team, as we believe that as a mixed club, cricket is for everyone, and those who want to play should be given the opportunity to do so, welcoming social members too. The club is always on the lookout for new members, whether an 18-year-old fresher, mature undergrad, to PHD students.
