Team Aber Accreditation Gains Momentum

As the year comes to a close, we’ve had the opportunity to reflect on the fantastic work our societies and clubs have done as part of their Team Aber Accreditation.

The Team Aber Accreditation is an award that our clubs and societies and clubs can work towards each year to help them grow into the most successful version of themselves. Groups can log their successes on their Microsoft Teams channels across a variety of different foundational elements; whether that’s community building, committee development or wellbeing support amongst many other criteria. It all contributes to show the multitude of skills you develop when you’re part of a society or club and offers a great opportunity for reflection and celebration at the end of each year.

This year, we wanted to give a shout out to two groups in particular who really impressed the opportunities team by achieving ‘excellent’ status on their accreditation. The two groups have continued to strive towards success, and we wanted to celebrate their efforts below:

ACV

Aberystwyth Conservation Volunteers have worked especially hard this year to build on their progress from last year and develop skills across the board in their society. They’ve worked hard to showcase their society in their Give it a Go sessions and raised impressive funds in their RAG week. All of their work has helped to raise their profile and develop the skills of their members.

Geography

Geography Society have similarly worked to develop their presence and skills this year. They have encouraged members to engage in training (including neurodiveristy and first aid) as well as making a splash with their under the sea social (amongst many others)

We are thrilled to award Geography and ACV society with their ‘Excellent’ Award and look forward to seeing all of our other groups develop in 2025.

If this is something you’d like to take part in next year, please have a look on the website for more information, or feel free to contact the opportunities team for more information.
