Things to do before arrival in Aberystwyth

Before you get to Aber there are a few things that we’d recommend getting to make sure that you can jump right in to student life hassle free…

   Join the only official Aberystwyth freshers group on Facebook- By joining this group you can... Connect with fellow Aberystwyth Freshers and current students before arriving in Aberystwyth. Find & share information regarding university life. Find information on sports clubs & societies; and meet others who will be studying on the same course as you or in the same accommodation as you

    Activate your university e-mail account.

     You should receive an email from the university with instructions. You will need these logins to log into the AberSU website to join sports clubs or societies.

    Join a sports club or society mailing list

    So that you are kept up to date with information and any events happening.

    Buy your NUS TOTUM card

     To make the most of student discounts for anything you need to buy to bring to Aber.

    Join a club and/or society - If you already know you want to join certain clubs and societies? You can do so online before you even get here (on sale from 1st September 2022) – there’s no rush though, as you can choose to join any club or societies throughout the year, we really don’t mind.
