A home away from home, and a community for all Catholic students in Aberystwyth. We welcome all Catholics to socialise, pray and grow in the love of Christ, and welcome those interested in the faith.
Aberystwyth University Catholic Society (CathSoc)
Croeso! Welcome!
CathSoc is a home away from home for all Catholic students studying in Aberystwyth. We are a community in which all can socialise and grow in faith together along side the Catholic community of Aberystwyth.
In addition, we equally welcome those who are not Catholic, but who have questions about Catholicism; and also those who wish to strengthen their relationship with God.
For information regarding CathSoc events please like/follow our Facebook page, Instagram or visit the CathSoc Website.
Mass and Confessions:
For information on the local Catholic parish, which we are affiliated too, up to date Mass/Confession times and parish newsletters, please see Parish Website. If you think you may require transport please contact us on any of our social media pages and we will try to help.
Mass is celebrated regularly at Welsh Martyrs Church in Penparcau by Parish Priest Fr Matthew Roche-Saunders. During term time the Mass is also celebrated once a week on the main university campus.
Confessions are available before most Masses, during Eucharistic Adoration and on request. Please view the parish newsletter for more information.

Society Prayer:
Lord God, we ask you to help the students of Aberystwyth. May their studies be fruitful and their hearts joyous, and may they increase in love for you. We pray especially for the members of CathSoc, that they may willingly shoulder their cross and follow you each day. That they may courageously proclaim your truth, and that in the end, they may be with you in eternal glory.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen
