Sports Club of the Year 2021/22
As one of the fastest growing sports clubs in Aber, we welcome all ranges of ability and experience. Whether you're wanting to run for fitness, socialisation or competition, then this is the place to be.
We are a friendly and sometimes competitive group of people ranging from complete beginners and people who aren't too keen on running or races, all the way to marathon runners and those who have reporesented West or North Wales, there really is no prior experience required. Above all, if you're up for having fun, meeting new people and improving your fitness then you've come to the right place!
We cater for a huge range of athletics and running events, including all track distances, road, trail and cross country running. That said, you don't even have to be keen on these events to be part of the team, you can come along to our weekly sessions, relaxed social runs, gym sessions, Parkruns or sunrise runs to meet new people and keep yourself in great shape!
We also like to relax and enjoy each others company outside of training by organising soical events and going out on Wednesday nights - we're not a running club with a social problem, we're a social club with a running problem.

What's on?
- Mondays 6–7pm - Training sessions, speed or endurance (meet at the track)
- Wednesdays 2:30pm - Social runs, choice of longer or shorter routes (meet at the track)
- Wednesdays 8pm - Social night out (meet at Hoptimist)
- Thursdays 6–7pm -Training sessions, speed or endurance (meet at the track)
- Friday Sunrise - Sometimes we have easy sunrise social runs on Friday mornings, if there's demand
- Saturday 9am - Sometimes we have a group Aberystwyth Parkrun on Plascrug Avenue, or races elswhere
- Various days - Sometimes we have gym strengh/plyometric sessions, if there's demand

FREE TASTER SESSIONS: Any student at Aberystwyth University is welcome to come along to any of our sessions for a free taster or two before purchasing membership from our webpage shop. Standard membership is £20 per year (please purchase Tim Aber insurance seperately).
