Welcome to Student Volunteer Week! At Aberystwyth Students Union, we believe in the power of students coming together to make a positive impact on our community. This week is dedicated to celebrating the incredible contributions of our student volunteers and encouraging even more students to get involved in giving back.
What is Student Volunteer Week?
Student Volunteer Week is an annual celebration that highlights the importance of student volunteers and their role in creating positive change. It's a time to recognise the impact that students can have when they come together for a common cause. This week is not just about volunteering; it's about building a sense of community and fostering a spirit of altruism among our student body.

Recognition and Rewards
Student volunteers are amazing and we think you deserve recognition for all the time and effort you give up to benefit fellow students, the community or a cause that is important to you.
The ABER AWARD is our way of celebrating your commitment to volunteering during your time here at Aberystwyth. We have 3 awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) that you can work towards over the course of the academic year. Each award helps you to keep track of the hours, activities and skills you gain as a volunteer.
Everyone who reaches a milestone award will be invited to our end of year event and you will be presented with a printed certificate of the highest award you achieve.
Join the Movement
Student Volunteer Week is not just about a week of service; it's about cultivating a culture of giving back that lasts all year. Join us in making a lasting impact on our community and beyond.
